We discovered the Secret behind some of the "Guaranteed Traffic" Scams that are floating around on the Net! You've seen the ads that state that you can receive 100,000 HITS to your website that will "Make Your Counter Spin". I'm sure at least 25% of you have even purchased one of these traffic packages before from these sneaky, slimy traffic hustlers. The truth is, their traffic DOES make your counter spin, and you will notice your counter adding up the number of Hits you are getting. But... The problem is that NO one is viewing your website nor your ads. The hits are automatically generated using website code embedded in ... ARE YOU READY for this...??? Embedded in Adult Porn Web Pages! That's ridiculous but the Truth! I didn't believe it myself when we first found out but after some research and tracing in our web server's raw logs, we noticed that these "Ghost Hits" were not coming from any valid location. But how do you think they're able to offer you so many hits so quickly? It's gotta come from sources that produce the most traffic on the Internet - Porn sites! After more research we found out how these shysters delivered all the hits. Here's how they did it. 1) You buy hits from a traffic reseller 2) Traffic reseller embeds the following HTML code on one of their heavily visited adult webpages <object type="text/x-scriplet" width="2" height="2" data="http://customerurl"> 3) Adult webpage gets loaded by their viewers thousands of times while your embedded link also receives the same number of hits 4) You receive the HITS as promised but no one actually visited your site. In other words, your site link was loaded but it only appeared as a 2x2 invisible pixel on the adult page. After we found out about this, we tried it ourselves and sure enough, it's true. Here's what we did. We created a webpage with a hit counter. We created a 2nd webpage with basic content, and also added the embedded code with the first webpage as the target URL. Then, we loaded the 2nd webpage in my web browser and saw the contents we created for this webpage. We did not see anything from embedded URL. However, We immediately went to the 1st page with our hit counter and noticed that it had incremented the count by 1. Wow! That's how they did it. It's no wonder no one makes any money with 'guaranteed hits' and 'guaranteed traffic' programs! Well, we hope that you enjoyed this quick tidbit of our findings.
